So I’ve heard a few people talk about this in the past… And to be honest didn’t think much of it.Until we had a discussion at work on how to make your own Yoghurt which led onto Ice-Cream and a colleague brought up making Banana Ice-Cream. Said never made it but heard also that it turns out like soft serve.
So I thought to myself, this could be an awesome dessert for Jack if it works… And my goodness it does!!! To be honest it is very hard work on your blender (I ended up having to use a potato masher as well) but well worth it.
Your asking yourself so how do I make this amazing dessert?
Simple 1 Ingredient Banana Ice-Cream….
Bananas (I used 6 big ones)
Natural yoghurt – But you don’t need this if you have a powerful blender, food processor.
1. Cut the banana’s up small and lay flat on a tray, freeze for couple hours.
2. Take out and leave sit on the bench for 5-10 minutes
3. Place in your processor/blender and blend until smooth. This takes awhile and you might end up like me and doing it in batches or even using a masher. Scape down the bowl as needed and add yoghurt if you like.
4. You will know when it’s blended enough as it’s like soft serve.
If you don’t eat straight away and refreeze, take it out about 10 minutes before consuming as it tends to go quite hard in freezer again.
That’s it.. Simple!
Sorry there’s no photo’s as it was consumed rather quickly as everyone loved it but I’ve got a couple of very ripe banana’s that I plan to use over next day or so and thinking of changing it up a bit by adding some Manuka honey and cocoa.
