Just a quick post as have come across something I didn’t know about and thought you should know… As I have said in previous posts there are multitudes of car seats on the market… So how can you make sure that you have installed it correctly?
Have a look at your manufactures website for a manual.
Here is a list of major brands in America, you can click each brand and it will take you to their website.
• Britax – you can read a review I’ve done here on the Britax Frontier 85 Combination Booster Car Seat.
You-Tube is a wealth of information you might be able to see your brand being installed there.
What I didn’t know is you can get the car seat installed or checked for FREE by a Certified Technician in your area run by NHTSA ( National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ) This is FANTASTIC!
Or get your child’s seat checked during Child Passenger Safety Week – September 18-24 2011.
Outside of the U.S I would recommend contacting your local transport authority to see if they run programmes like this.
